We now have an opportunity for a mobile software engineer (Android)

possessing all of the necessary technical skills and capability to incrementally develop and deliver quality, working software on the DLG mobile platform.

We want someone who can revolutionise the digital experience by challenging convention, continuously improving & innovating and delivering business value at a sustainable pace.

The Role

As a mobile software engineer (Android) you will develop and deliver updates to the digital platform following the Scrum framework sharing best practice advice and guidance ( Actively participating in ceremonies and championing the agile frameworks, Scrum and Kanban, ensuring that Agile principles are practiced by peers and understood by stakeholders)

The mobile software engineer will facilitate technical decisions; incorporate feedback and emergent patterns from the team back in to the overall design and proactively support 3rd party application development partners to ensure they deliver software within the agreed solution design and quality standards

Key Skills and Experience

- Mobile app development on Android

- Supporting & realising UI & UX designs

- Integrations with data drive APIs.

- Knowledge of OOP, Design Patterns and Android patterns

- Good understanding of HTTP protocol

- Version control using Git (using Gitflow)

- Push notifications

Prior experience of working in an Agile development environment with continuous integration and an academic background in computing or similar is also required
